Cara assists individuals in the integration of the body, mind, and spirit through experiential and evidence-based therapies.
Cara Duong is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. She has a Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Cara works with clients across the lifespan by proving therapy to children ages 6 and up, adolescents, adults with complex trauma and parent consultation.
With over 10 years of experience working alongside children and families, Cara has worked in a variety of settings such as the public school system and non-profits. Cara also currently partners with Foster Love Bell County to provide trauma informed trainings to the community and facilitates caregiver coaching groups. Cara is passionate about working alongside caregivers to provide hope and healing to the family system. She is specialized in working with children, adolescents, and families with childhood traumas, such as sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, human trafficking, and witness to homicides. Cara utilizes EMDR as her primary therapy modality for trauma therapy as well as sandtray therapy, internal family systems, gestalt therapy, and play therapy.

She is a passionate, client-centered therapist that practices with a strength-based approach, empowering individuals to utilize their own inner resources to navigate life’s hurdles. It is her mission to provide every client with a safe space for growth and healing.
Cara enjoys being a wife and mom, eating good food, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
